Planning to be spontaneous

This summer, Stine Rindal headed north to Lofoten. She came to work as a guide, but also for everything that happens in between the working days.

As a guide, Lofoten offers plenty of exciting opportunities. But it’s also the people who bring Stine back north, summer after summer.

The area brings together people from across Norway’s outdoor community, and there’s rarely far to go to find someone to share the day with. Climbing, hiking, paddling and other experiences naturally become part of summer, often shared with close friends and new faces alike.

The changing weather became a big part of summer in the north. Each day had to be planned with room for quick changes, and good weather windows had to be seized when they appeared.

For Stine, it’s about planning to be spontaneous. That makes the reward even greater when the clouds finally clear and the sun comes out.
