Today, Walk King Advance pairs Gold-rated, full-grain leather with GORE-TEX® waterproofing, a dual-density midsole, and a Vibram® Megagrip outsole - everything you need for a full day on demanding terrain. The Alfa Double Lock system with impregnated laces lets you dial in the forefoot and ankle independently. Memoryfoam padding settles around your ankle without creating pressure points. The wide last fits Nordic feet the way it always has. This is not a boot you convince yourself into. What is the difference between the new and old Walk King/Queen Advance?

The foundation stays the same. Same last, same Vibram® outsole, same quality you already know. What's changed is things that makes it last longer and perform better over time.

The updated version features Gold-standard leather from Heinen, a new full mudguard for improved durability, wheel bearing hooks for a more secure and precise lace hold, and an anniversary logo marking over 40 years of Walk King and Walk Queen. Most importantly, it's now built with repairability at its core, designed to be resoled and serviced rather than replaced, making it a more sustainable choice for the long run.

Is Walk King Advance waterproof?

Yes. Walk King Advance has a GORE-TEX® lining which keeps your feet dry and comfortable throughout long journeys.

How is the fit and comfort?

The boot has a regular fit with a spacious forefoot area for extra comfort. The double lock system allows for easy individual adjustments. The soft top rim and memory-foam around the ankle reduces friction and sensitivity so that you remain comfortable even on long multi-day hikes.

What kind of grip can I expect?

The Dual Density EVA midsole and the Vibram® Megagrip outsole provide exceptional stability and traction on rocky, root-strewn, uneven trails.
