Why Dyneema® fiber?

Our shoes are made with the worlds strongest fiber - Dyneema®

In our hiking boots, we use Dyneema® fiber – made with a combination of traditional and renewable materials. The renewable ones come from circular and bio-based sources, providing a more sustainable solution without compromising durability, weight, or performance.

Behind this sustainable choice lies advanced material technology. So what exactly is Dyneema® fiber, and what properties make it unique?

Dyneema® fiber is the world’s strongest fiber, made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). It is up to 15 times stronger than steel by weight, while being so light that it floats on water. In addition, it offers excellent resistance to moisture, UV radiation, and abrasion over time.

Dyneema® fiber is a high-tech material typically used in products like climbing ropes, racing sails, paragliding lines, and advanced aerospace technology. Now, we’ve also integrated this material into our hiking boots – for maximum durability and minimal weight, giving you a shoe you can rely on.

Why Dyneema® fiber?

Hiking boots with Dyneema® fiber combine low weight with extreme durability – ideal for challenging terrain and comfort over long distances.

Longer lifespan

The material withstands rough use before wearing out – simple as that.

Low weight, high strength

Go further with less strain.

Increased protection

Less moisture and debris inside, less wear on the outside.

Better conscience

Less waste, more reuse.

Hiking boots made with Dyneema® fiber are paving the way for what modern hiking footwear can – and should – be.

Using Dyneema® fiber represents a smart and long-term approach to outdoor gear. At a time when we demand more from our equipment in terms of durability, functionality, and weather resistance, it’s precisely these thoughtful material choices that make a real difference.
