Product description

Some hiking boots are made for the mountains. Others are made for everyday life. Gneis doesn't compromise — it's engineered for Norwegian mountain conditions and refined enough to wear on the way home. The upper combines AlfaAir™ with an abrasion-resistant ripstop exterior, keeping weight low while standing up to rough rock and dense undergrowth. Made with 25% Global Recycled Standard (GRC)-certified recycled content, it's built to last and designed with repairability in mind. Inside, a GORE-TEX® membrane keeps your feet dry when the weather turns, without trapping heat on warmer days. A lightweight EVA midsole absorbs impact underfoot, so longer days on mixed terrain feel less demanding. Underneath, a Vibram® Megagrip outsole grips securely on wet rock, loose gravel, and slick city surfaces. And the Alfa Double Lock lacing system lets you adjust the forefoot and ankle independently — so you get the fit right, every time.

How is the fit and comfort?

Gneis has a regular fit and the ALFA Double Lock system makes it easy to adjust and adapt the fit to your feet. Combined with a lightweight EVA midsole, Gneis is built for comfort and is the perfect companion when your trail leads you through a wide range of terrain.

What kind of grip can I expect?

The Vibram® megagrip BR5A sole provides secure grip on a wide variety of surfaces, from mountain trails to wet surfaces in the city.
